CARROT HALWA

Ingredients
Grated carrot- 2cups
Sugar- 1/4cups
Milk- 1 1/4 cups
Ghee- 4tbsp
Saffron - to garnish
Almonds chopped- 6-7
Cashew- 5-6
Cardamon powder- 1pinch
Method
•Heat the pan with  2tbsp of ghee and roast the cashews and keep it separately
•In the same ghee add the grated carrots and saute for 5-6 mins till the carrots colour slightly change
•Now add the milk and cook for about 10-15mins till it becomes thick and carrots should be cooked well in milk. Keep stirring occasionally in a medium flame
•Once it is completely thickened add the sugar
•Cook for few more minutes till it thickens,then add the remaining ghee, saffron,cashews, almonds and cardamom powder
•Cook again for 5-6mins in a low flame and its ready to serve
•This halwa has little moisture content
•You can add some more sugar according to your taste, but as carrots have natural Sweetness i have added only 1/4 cups.


Serve hot or cool it and enjoy with an ice cream 🍧🍨
