Home made rice cereal powder

Ingredients
Parboiled rice/puzhungal arisi - 1cup
Jeera- a pinch
Method
•Wash and rinse the rice 2-3times and drain the water and keep it aside for 5mins
•Now heat a pan and dry roast the rice until it becomes slight brown and then keep aside and let it cool
•Dry roast the jeera for a minute.
•Grind everything to a fine powder.
•Store it in a air tight container.
Rice porridge
•Take 2 tbsp of rice powder and mix it well with a cup of water without any lumps
•Cook on a low flame until it reaches saucy consistensy
•Add a pinch of salt and 2 drops of ghee (optional)
•Feed it warm to your baby
•No need to add sugar or milk until the baby is 1year

Notes
✓It is always necessary to consult with your doctor before starting any other foods
✓Its good to breastfeed your baby exclusively for 6months
✓Start giving it in a diluted form, then slowly thicken the porridge according to the baby's age.
✓Slowly increase the quantity
✓I started adding drops of ghee only after my baby was 7months, just for the nice flavor
✓You can also dry roast ajwain seeds(omam) and grind it along with the cereal powder.
✓Always follow a 3 day rule before starting  any new food. Wait for 3 days to check for any allergies.
