Homemade rice dal cereal powder

Ingredients
Moong dal(paasi parupu)- 1 cup
Parboiled rice(puzhungal arisi)-1cup
Jeera-1/4tbsp
Method
•Wash moong dal and rice separately and drain the water completely
•Dry roast rice until slight golden brown, and keep aside
•Dry roast jeera and keep aside
•Dry roast moong dal till u get nice aroma and also colour changes slightly.
•Let it cool down and grind it to a fine powder
•Store it in a air tight container
Dal rice porridge
Take 2 tbsp of the powder and mix it with 1 cup of water without any without lumps and cook it in a low flame until it becomes saucy. Add a pinch of salt and ghee. Serve it lukewarm to your baby.

Notes
✓It is always necessary to consult with your doctor before starting any other foods
✓Its good to breastfeed your baby exclusively for 6months
✓Start giving it in a diluted form, then slowly thicken the porridge according to the baby's age.
✓Slowly increase the quantity
✓I started adding drops of ghee only after my baby was 7months, just for the nice flavor
✓You can also dry roast ajwain seeds(omam) and grind it along with the cereal powder.
✓Always follow a 3 day rule before starting  any new food. Wait for 3 days to check for any allergies.
