Chenna masala

Ingredients 
Chenna- 1cup
Onion-1
Tomato-3large (purée it)
Greenchilli-3nos
Crushed ginger &garlic-2tbsp
Coriander leaves
Salt-as required
Spice powder 
Chilli powder-2tbsp
Dhaniya powder-1tbsp
Chenna masala powder-1/2tbsp
Jeera powder-1/4tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/4tbsp
Aamchur powder-1/4tbsp
To temper
Butter-1tbsp
Oil-3tbsp
Jeera-1/2tbsp
Bayleaf-1
Cinnamon-1/2inch
Method
Note: I dint soak the chenna over night.I soaked it for 5hrs in warm water ,then pressure cooked it with little salt and turmeric for 6-7 whistles. Take it out dont strain the water.
• In the same pressure cooker, add butter and oil add everything to be tempered
• Add the crushed ginger and garlic, it gives nice aroma if u crush and add rather than grinding it to a paste then add green chilli
• Add finely chopped onions after it turns golden brown add the tomato puree
• Cook till the oil oozes out, then add salt and all the spice powder
• Mix it well & add the boiled chenna with the water , combine everything well
• Add a handfull of chopped coriander and 1tbsp butter adjust with water as per your need
• Now again pressure cook for 3 whistles(i did this as i dint soak the chenna overnight , this made the chenna very soft and it was perfectly cooked, so whenever you forget to soak the chenna this is the best way to cook) 
 Serve with lemon and sliced onion 


YUMMY CHENNA MASALA READY ! 
Chenna masala and poori is the best combination . It goes well even with jeera rice or ghee rice
